Environmental Policy

Curtis Catering & Leisure is committed to minimising our environmental impact and operating sustainably. We strive to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into all aspects of our business, and to stay abreast of the latest environmental legislation.

Our key commitments include:

  • Sustainable Packaging: All cutlery and single-use packaging is made from recycled cardboard or wood, including stirrers, knives, and forks. Products sold with slush drinks are supplied in recyclable, non-plastic cups with cardboard slush spoon straws.

  • Responsible Sourcing: We source all stock from Booker Wholesale, a company with extensive environmental plans and pledges, which can be viewed at bookers.com. Our closest Booker branch is located less than a mile from our headquarters, minimising transport time and carbon footprint.

  • Energy Efficiency: All catering equipment in our units is powered by electricity whenever possible to reduce our carbon footprint. Our power supply (generator) is a Stage 5 emissions generator, representing the cleanest form of power currently available.

  • Waste Reduction: All cooking oils are fully recycled before and after use to maintain minimal usage, then recycled into biofuel to power our service vehicles.

  • Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuous improvement in our environmental performance and will regularly review and update this policy as needed.
